COVID-19 Update: Back to Work - MIOSHA & CDC Guidance

Last week, MIOSHA (which is the safety/health arm of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity), released guidance for employers about what is needed to get back to work in a safe manner. Employers must develop a written exposure plan and provide training to employees. I previously reported here on OSHA Guidance that should also be followed.

Employers can find MIOSHA information here.

Employees can find MIOSHA information here.

A new hotline has also been created for Michigan employers and employees to ask questions related to safety and health in the workplace (855-723-3219 or 855-SAFEC19).

CDC Guidance

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued limited guidance to aid businesses and organizations as they reopen. The Guidance is in flow-chart/decision tree format. A longer document with greater detail is expected to be released once approved by the White House. The below links are for various industries.
